Going Beyond Forensics -- Starting at the Beginning

Welcome to Praeterforensis, a blog site that was created ad-hoc and for the specific purpose of hosting the single (as of May 28, 2020) posting on Android geolocation/tower data artifacts.

Written by a novice investigator and graduate student, the initial post will eventually be supplemented with additional posts that chronicle the author's exploration of digital forensics tools, concepts, and environments in the Windows, Linux, and Android realms. As time passes and the author develops additional competence, the Apple world may make its way into this nascent blog, but for the time being this is not the case.
